Jim Furyk

CLICK HERE to bid on the opportunity to caddy for world ranked #5, Jim Furyk!
This is the opportunity of a golfing lifetime to caddy for PGA TOUR golfer Jim Furyk in his pro am round at the first of the FedEx Cup Playoffs at the Barclays. The 2010 Barclays will be held again at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, NJ. The tournament dates are August 23 - August 29, 2010. The caddy date for Furyk will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
Jim Furyk can be easily spotted on the PGA TOUR if you look for someone who is often high on the leaderboard or you look for his trademark, loopy kind of unconventional- looking swing. Furyk’s unusual swing has often been considered the result of the only golf instructor he has ever used, his father, Mike Furyk. Despite his distinguishing swing and its origins, Furyk is well known for his consistent ability to play at the top level of the game and his hard work has earned him the knickname of “the Grinder”. Whatever you think of his swing, it led him to being ranked 5th in the Official World Golf Rankings in 2009, as well as to the same ranking thus far in 2010, including his recent win at the Transitions Championship in Tampa, FL.
From 1998 to 2003, Furyk won at least one PGA TOUR event each year, including a major championship win at the 2003 U.S. Open and then another win in 2005 and two in 2006 – one of which was at the Wachovia Championship at the Quail Hollow Club. The two wins in 2006 catapulted Furyk to all-time career high of #2 on the Official World Golf Rankings. Incredibly, Furyk has ranked in the top-10 in the world for over 300 weeks from 1999 thru 2009. He has the longest streak on the PGA TOUR of top-10 finishes in majors and in addition to his U.S. Open win, he has had a total of 15 top 10’s in majors – clearly a remarkable record.
In addition to Furyk’s individual play on the PGA TOUR, he has earned spots and played on an incredible six U.S. Ryder Cup teams, five President’s Cup teams and one World Cup. Not only is Furyk one of the most likeable and overall fantastic guys on the PGA TOUR, he also has one of the more “famous” Tour caddies, Mike “Fluff” Cowan, who gained notoriety as Tiger Woods’ Tour caddie for his first two years on the PGA TOUR. If you ever wondered what it takes to be in the “winner’s circle” on the PGA TOUR, join Jim and Fluff for a day of a lifetime in professional golf.
