This is the opportunity of a golfing lifetime to caddy for 2009 U.S. Open Champion PGA TOUR golfer Lucas Glover at the second of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the Deutsche Bank Championship. The 2010 Deutsche Bank Championship tournament will be held again at the TPC Boston golf course in Norton, MA. The tournament dates are August 31 - September 6, 2010. The caddy date for Glover will be on Thursday, September 2, 2010. Like most of the successful PGA TOUR plyers, South Carolina native, Lucas Glover, has a long history of playing and winning at golf. Glover earned All State honors for all four years of his High School career, the first two of which he won the South Carolina State High School Championship. Glover went on to play golf for Clemson University where he made All American his last two years. During his successful collegiate playing Career, Glover was a member of the 1999 U.S. vs. Japan Cup team and the Walker Cup team in his senior year at Clemson.
Having won multiple State Amateur tournaments, Glover turned professional in 2001 after graduating college and played on the Nationwide Tour for two years prior to earning his PGA TOUR card for the 2004 season from his earnings rank.
Glover had a successful rookie year on the PGA TOUR posting two top 10 finishes and five top 25's. In his second year on TOUR, Glover posted his first PGA TOUR win at FUNAI Classic where he holed out a bunker shot on the 18th hole to overtake Tom Pernice Jr. Glover's strong playing performances continued in 2006 and 2007 but he experienced a bit of a slump in 2008. Despite his less than great year in 2008, Glover came back strong for the 2009 season where he quickly posted a third place finish at the Buick Invitational, followed by a 2nd at the Quail Hollow Championship in May. His most notable win, however, came at the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black.
Glover has had a good start to the 2010 season, posting an impressive 3rd place finish at THE PLAYERS in addition to several top 10 finishes.
